The next step was to fit the guardails. I also used this step to determine the shape of the top edge of the sides. I started out with a half round pine batten I broke two before I gave up. I had some cedar scraps lying arround from the planking of my skiff. Even though I was really careful and used lots of clamps I still manged to break one guardrail and had to start that one again.

I then faired off the sides to meed the guardrail and finished off the round of the guardrail.
